Johari Window
The Johari window, named after its inventors Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham, is a four-paned window each describing human interaction. The four arenas or areas -- open, blind, hidden and unknown -- decribe personal awareness in different types. Listed below is a brief description of each arena.
1) Open arena - personalities known to self and others
2) Blind arena - personalities not known to self but known to others
3) Hidden arena - personalities known to self but not known to others
4) Unknown arena - personalities not known to self nor to others
This method is a great way for self-reflecting and for self-improvement. A person will know his strengths and his weaknesses. After receiving feedback, he can maintain or improve on his strengths and work on his weaknesses. In this way, a person will be a better person.
There is an online interactive Johari Window, and it had been there since last year I guess. I just created mine a while ago just for fun but hey! I can see room for improvement. ^^ *shameless plugging follows* please go to my johari window please! ^^ thanks! http://kevan.org/johari?name=dingy-wingy
