Valentines
I know this is quite a late post about valentines but I still can't get over MY valentines. (Because it's the first one I've ever celebrated)
I have this notion that Valentines is a time for lovers and for friends. This is also the time when boys give roses/chocolates/stuffed bears/ anything sweet to the girl they like (and probably vice versa). Yap... a time for love indeed.
I've experienced a "arranged valentine" or so I would call it. It started while we were waiting for the time of our death - midterms. We planned to have an exchanging of gifts for Valentines. Girls get to pick from papers with the boys' names written on them and vice versa. At first we had 6 boys and 6 girls, then we "recruited" some more pairs. XD To cut a long story short, we had our "duties" to give something to the person we got.
Valentines came. to tell the truth, I was excited. Again.. it was my first time to celebrate valentines! I told myself not to expect a rose or a box of chocolates but deep inside... I was. In reality, I was expecting a stuffed animal more than a rose or a box of chocolates. Why? Because I have a feeling that whoever picked my name knows that I love dolls and I cant resist their cuteness.
Morning came and no gift giving was happening. The first subject ended and still no gift giving. Lunch came and yes! the end of the agony of waiting. I was excited to know who picked my name and what he will give me. Basically, a person will start to give his/her gift then that person who received the gift would be the next one to give his/her gift to the one he/she picked. To cut another long story short, it turned out that the one I "picked" was the one who picked my name too.
He gave me a heartless plushie. (A heartless is a character from Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II) From the name itself, it doesn't seem to be a good/appropriate gift for Valentines especially when love needs a heart. He sewed it himself, and I find it sweet because he took the time and thought about the gift and not just buy it off the shelf. ^^
Sure I didn't receive a flower/chocolate/stuffed toy from a person "willingly" but it is one fun and memorable Valentines for me. ^__^

The Heartless can be appropriate for valentines because a heartless is basically a lost HEART....
(Thinking of KH1 Sora-Kairi scene when Sora was still a heartless)
So 'symbolically' speaking its just like telling that my heart is lost in this chaotic world. You have captivated it, found it. And now, I'm entrusting it in your care, to you. My own heart, my own 'heartless'...
Well thats what I think it would mean if you want it to be appropriate for Valentines(I guess)

^^ I guess so... ^^ thanks for the insight. if you don't mind, could you introduce yourself? ^^;
I won't need to...
why? Well.. it's fine if you won't introduce yourself. Just assure me that I know you.
wait... I have an idea who you are. >.> but then again... if you are the person I guess you are, you won't place smileys. >.<
Then again, you can always change your writing style to maintain anonymity.
yeah.. so I guess my guess is right.
